Welcome to the Pure Mathematics Department of the University of Leeds!

In the most recent Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) in 2008, 55% of the work submitted by the department was classed as 'world leading' or 'internationally excellent', with a further 40% classed as 'internationally recognised'. Previously the department was rated 5 in both the 1996 and 2001 Research Assessment Exercises.
